Very typical of most organisations in Nigeria, Aero Contractors today displayed that they have no back-up plans for passengers who make full payment for their flights in cases of emergencies.
Passengers billed to fly Aero Contractors from Owerri to Abuja at 9.25am got txt messages informing them of a delay and a new departure time of 12.25pm. They were stunned when they got to the Sam Mbakwe Airport at 10am and met an empty Aero Office and counter. Not a single came from the management of Aero until 12.59pm when the text message picture above was sent to passengers.
No more word has been heard from Aero Contractors up till now. I propose the establishment of an Aviation Standards Tribunal to protect Nigerian air travellers on local routes from the disdain services churned out by local airlines.
